With the new year upon us, many of us have set a goal to exercise more consistently. Below I share with you my easy but effective tips and tricks that motivate me to get my workouts in. I hope you will find these useful and they help you achieve your fitness goals!!

7 Ways That Motivate Yourself To Workout
♥ Set a concrete workout goal, for example my goal is to exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes (and that doesn’t include my daily walks). If your fitness goals are vague, like I want to workout more, you are less likely to achieve them as it is harder to hold yourself accountable when your goals are not specific.
♥ Listen to your body and workout when it is most convenient for you. However, what works best for me is getting my workouts done early in the morning as soon as I wake up. It has been game changing for me because I always skipped my workouts when I scheduled them for the evenings. Going home and working out after a long day at work is the last thing I want to do.
♥ Wear cute workout clothes. You don’t have to spend a ton of money on workout clothes to look great while you’re exercising. I love this top, sports bra and leggings. I’m also obsessed with my pink running shoes from Adidas. They are adorable and comfortable!

♥ Plan ahead. I find that I am most excited to workout in the morning when I know exactly what type of workout I’ll be doing and for how long. The night before I’ll go on Instagram and look through workout videos and save the one that I want to do the next day. It makes it so much easier in the morning.
♥ Prepare a pumping playlist or listen to podcasts while working out. It makes it go by so much faster!
♥ Find a workout that you love. For me that’s boxing. I love my workouts when they involve boxing. It helps me release all my negative energy and I am always in a better mood after I do this type of workout.
♥ Create an encouraging atmosphere and surround yourself with motivation. Remember that to motivate yourself to to workout you need to convince your brain you want to do it. Add a dry erase board to your closet, room or office and add working out to your to do list. This method has great results as everytime you enter the room with your board, you’ll be reminded that you should workout. It is also so satisfying to cross it off your list! You can also write down motivational quotes that will inspire you to workout on the board! If you use a planner or calendar, another tip is to schedule your workouts in and add them to your planner.

Fear motivates me to workout. Fear from who or what I cannot say other than it’s gets me to the gym a few times a week.
Overcoming your fears is a great mental victory 🙂
Ok then I’m going to tell who I’m fearful of that I plan on never exercising again. Thanks!
She’s probably not going to like that …
Well she likes to box so she can get all her anger out on the punching bag I set up for her.
Hahaha, true!
